This puddingstone is one of the coolest I’ve ever come across.  Sizeable at over 1lb and handpicked in Clare County, MI, it has a quartzite matrix rich in epidote and hematite. These minerals give it a striking mix of green and black, but that’s not all—pink quartz stones and pastel-toned feldspars blend with the green in the matrix to create a truly unique piece.  There was a small area of matrix stuck between two quartz clasts on a near flat surface that refused to come out, so I left it to show the naturalness of the stone.
